Terms and Tonditions

1 Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “you”) and JKC Cargo and Courier Services (“JKC Cargo”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of our cargo, courier, and logistics services, as well as our website at jkccargo.com.

By booking a shipment, requesting a quote, or using any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2 Services Offered

JKC Cargo provides the following services:

  • Air Cargo: Express airfreight from Mirpur AJK (Pakistan) to the UK and other international destinations.
  • Sea Cargo: Ocean freight for bulk or heavy goods, with competitive rates.
  • Door-to-Door Delivery: Collection from your address in Mirpur AJK and delivery to the recipient’s address in the UK.
  • Freight Forwarding: Full management of customs documentation, clearance, and multi-modal logistics.
  • Shipment Tracking: Real-time tracking via our website or WhatsApp.

JKC Cargo reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice.

3 Bookings and Orders

3.1 Accepting a Booking

A booking is confirmed only upon written or verbal confirmation from JKC Cargo and receipt of the agreed booking deposit (where applicable). Confirmation may be made via phone, WhatsApp, or email.

3.2 Accurate Information

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information at the time of booking, including:

  • Full sender and recipient names and addresses
  • Correct description, weight, and declared value of goods
  • Any special handling requirements

JKC Cargo accepts no liability for delays, fines, or losses arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

3.3 Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited from shipment:

  • Narcotics, illegal drugs, or controlled substances
  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives
  • Counterfeit or pirated goods
  • Perishable goods without prior written agreement
  • Hazardous materials not declared and permitted
  • Currency, negotiable instruments, or precious metals (without prior arrangement)
  • Any item prohibited under Pakistani, UK, or destination country law
Warning: Shipment of prohibited items may result in immediate confiscation by customs authorities, criminal prosecution, and full liability being passed to the customer. JKC Cargo will cooperate fully with law enforcement in such cases.

4 Charges and Payment

4.1 Pricing

All charges are based on the actual or volumetric weight of your shipment, whichever is greater, along with applicable surcharges for fuel, destination, or special handling. Final charges are confirmed at the time of booking.

4.2 Additional Charges

The customer agrees to pay any additional charges that may arise, including but not limited to:

  • Customs duties and taxes imposed by any government authority
  • Storage or demurrage fees due to delayed collection or clearance
  • Re-delivery fees for failed delivery attempts
  • Surcharges imposed by airlines or shipping lines

4.3 Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of booking unless a credit account has been agreed in writing. JKC Cargo reserves the right to withhold or return shipments in the event of non-payment.

5 Transit Times and Delivery

All transit times provided by JKC Cargo are estimated only and are not guaranteed. Transit times may be affected by:

  • Customs delays or inspections at origin or destination
  • Weather, airline schedule changes, or force majeure events
  • Incorrect or incomplete addressing by the customer
  • Public holidays in Pakistan, the UK, or transit countries

JKC Cargo shall not be liable for any loss, cost, or damage suffered by the customer as a result of a delay in transit.

6 Liability and Claims

6.1 Our Liability

JKC Cargo’s liability for loss of or damage to a shipment shall be limited to the lesser of the declared value or the actual proven value of the goods, subject to a maximum liability as agreed at the time of booking.

6.2 Exclusions of Liability

JKC Cargo shall not be liable for:

  • Loss or damage caused by the customer’s negligent packing
  • Indirect, consequential, or special losses
  • Damage to inherently fragile items not disclosed at booking
  • Seizure or confiscation of goods by customs or government authorities
  • Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

6.3 Filing a Claim

Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted in writing to JKC Cargo within 7 days of the shipment’s expected delivery date. Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted. Please contact us with your tracking number, proof of value, and photographic evidence of damage where applicable.

7 Customs and Import/Export Compliance

The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all goods comply with the export laws of Pakistan and the import laws of the destination country. JKC Cargo will prepare and submit customs documentation on your behalf based on the information you provide; however:

  • Any fines, penalties, or confiscations resulting from incorrect declarations are the customer’s responsibility.
  • Customs duties and taxes payable at the destination are the recipient’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
  • JKC Cargo strongly recommends declaring the full and accurate value of all goods.

8 Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled collection date will receive a full refund of any prepaid charges.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before collection may be subject to an administration fee.
  • Once a shipment has been collected and dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. Refunds in such cases are at JKC Cargo’s discretion.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7–14 working days via the original payment method.

9 Intellectual Property

All content on jkccargo.com — including text, images, logos, graphics, and website design — is the intellectual property of JKC Cargo and is protected under applicable copyright laws. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or modification of any content without written consent is strictly prohibited.

10 Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If resolution is not possible within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to the competent courts of Mirpur, AJK.

For customers in the United Kingdom, statutory rights under UK consumer protection law are not affected by these Terms.

11 Changes to These Terms

JKC Cargo reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
